Q: Tell us about the most emotional scene you've ever read in a book - and how did you react?
'On the Jellicoe Road' by Melina Marchetta is one such book, I can't pin down the scenes but after 150 or so pages, it got really emotional, I remember reading it whole night and getting puffy eyes next day, looking all lost and all. It is Indeed one amazing book. You can see my review HERE on Goodreads.
Another would be 'City of Glass' by Cassandra Clare (YES I AM A HUGE TMI FAN), the scene where Valentine Killed Jace, Oh that moment was like a blow in gut, Though ending was happy but that moment was almost a killing blow. I remember I stopped breathing for a second.

ReplyDeleteThe most emotional thing that I've ever read would have to be the Delirium book because I stayed up the entire night reading that book. The first book literally took my breath away. <3

Hopping through. I know just what you mean about City of Glass. What struck me most though was Valentine's reaction to Jace's death, not that Jace had died.

ReplyDeleteCassandra Clare is my favorite writer. A friend introduced me to her about two years ago. She was reading City of Bones while beta reading for me and told me she found this woman who writes similar to the way I do, so I bought the first book out of curiosity. Now I don't know if my writing style is similar to hers, but I do enjoy her books.
She is mine too... Its always feels good to hear that :)
